When the Rotator Cuff Muscles Give Problems

In this Video I explain what happens when problems in the rotator cuff muscles arise:

The main problems are tears:

1. < 25% is classified as a small tear

2. 25 – 50%  is a medium sized tear

3. >50% is a large tear

4. Complete tears.

Tears are related to age in so far as you get older tendons do become more fragile unless exercise and is why tears happen more frequently as we get older.  Keeping up strength in the shoulders is a great way to reduce the chances of this occuring and makes treatment more effective. However keeping up strength be exercising also may injure your tendon!
